Lyrics
Lyrics that have inspired or moved me over the years, or lines I just like. Because I'm too lazy to verify the actual songwriter, I decided to go with the most familiar singer.
-And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon God they made. (Simon & Garfunkel)
-So for once in my life let me get what I want
Lord knows it would be the first time. (Smiths)
-I got soul but I'm not a soldier. (The Killers)
-What I'd really like, dad, is to borrow the car keys
See you later, Can I have them please? (Harry Chapin)
-Take away this ball & chain (Social Distortion)
-When your death takes its toll
All the money you made
Will never buy back your soul (Bob Dylan)
-And this bird you can not change. (Lynyrd Skynyrd)
-How does it feel
To be on your own
With no direction home
Like a complete unknown
Like a rolling stone (Bob Dylan)
-It's hard to get by just upon a smile. (Cat Stevens)
-In boxes made of ticky tacky
And they all look just the same. (Pete Seeger)
-From the moment I could talk I was ordered to listen.
Now there's a way and I know that I have to go away. (Cat Stevens)
-You want to fight for this love
But honey you cannot wrestle a dove (The Shins)
-Takes a long time, but God dies too
But not before he'll stick it to you. (Modest Mouse)
-Your heart felt good it was drippin pitch and made of wood.
And your hands and knees felt cold and wet on the grass to me. (Modest Mouse)
-We live in a wheel where everyone steals.
But when we rise it's like strawberry fields. (Bush)
-You've claimed all this time that you would die for me.
Why then are you so surprised to hear your own eulogy? (Tool)
-Some words when spoken can't be taken back (Pearl Jam)
-And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon God they made. (Simon & Garfunkel)

Get an iPod!
and you'll be able to listen to the songs instead of talk about them!
:)
Easy for you to say, Mr. My-Company-Gave-Me-One. Nah, I don't want or need an iPod. I listen to enough music without it. The only time I would use it is when I work out and that hasn't happened in months.
I've been listening to my iPod a lot lately... but I imagine that once my girls return from Russia, my free time to listen to music will quickly evaporate!
you would be amazed how often you find a reason to use your iPod, while you are watering plants, riding on BART (oh wait, no rapid transit in TX), while you are skiing (no, wait, that's out too) while you are mowing your enormous lawn, hanging by the pool, walking the dogs, hook it into your desk speakers at work, buy crappy little portable speakers that don't need power and take your wife on a romantic picnic, get the car adapter, I mean, you have the ability to carry around your entire music library whereever you go
Get off your fuckin high horse and swallow your misguided pride and buy an iPod, if you regret it, you don't have to get me a birthday gift
I won't be buying you a birthday present anyway. I'm not on a high horse. I just refuse to succumb to the trends and catchy ads and pay twice as much for a mp3 player that I don't even need. I have a portable cd player that plays mp3 data files (about 200 songs per CD) and that suits me just fine. I don't need to carry around my entire library. Just seems like a waste to me.
your mom seems like a waste...
dude, your mom IS a waste.
You both argue like a married couple...
Which brings to mind another question. The only aspect of arguing with my wife that I enjoy is the reconciliation...
Nevermind, I won't even ask the question.
This is why I don't like to argue with Tim. It's not that I can't win, it's the sexual frustration after it's over that kills me.

You know how I know you're gay? (other than the above comment)
cuz you don't know which movie this quote is from!
no, I don't know what movie that's from.
you know how I know you're gay? You add a comment, then remove it only to add the same comment again, but replacing "because" with "cuz".
now that's gay.
